Iranian, Syrian Economy Ministers Sign Three Cooperation Documents to Bolster Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The economy ministers of Iran and Syria inked three cooperation documents in the course of a historic visit by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to the Syrian capital of Damascus on Wednesday.

Economy

The cooperation documents are mainly related to the export of technical and engineering services between the two countries.

The administration of President Raisi pursues deepening and expanding amicable relations with friendly states and the visit by the Iranian president to Syria is evaluated as a step towards removing obstacles in the way of expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries, including in production and investment areas.

Heading a high-ranking political, economic and cultural delegation, Raisi arrived in the Syrian capital of Damascus on Wednesday at the official invitation of his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad.
