Iran Ready to Cooperate with Regional Countries in Medicines, Medical Equipment Fields


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian health minister said the Islamic Republic is ready to cooperate with the countries of region in the fields of medicines and medical equipment.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of 26th G5 High Level Experts Meeting on Health Cooperation, held at the Esteghlal Hotel in Terhan on Saturday, Bahram Einollahi said, “We should provide the necessary platforms for boosting health parameters in the region optimally.”

In addition, Iran should establish cooperation with all neighboring countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Tajikistan to boost health parameters.

Managing contagious and communicable diseases is one of the challenges in the region, he said, adding that contagious diseases cost countries dearly, so Iran should cooperate with these countries to prevent the outbreak of contagious diseases.

The First Healthcare Leadership and Governance Training Program kicked off in Tehran on May 6 and will run until May 10.
