US Exports to Iran Rise 30% in First Quarter of 2023 despite Sanctions

According to the report, trade exchanges between Iran and the US in January, February and March 2023 amounted to $13.6 million, registering a nine percent decline compared to a year earlier.

The value of products exported from the US to Iran meanwhile recorded a 30 percent hike in the first three months of 2023.

More than $10.3 million worth of products had been exported from the United States to Iran in the same period in 2022.

Over $15 million worth of non-oil products had been exchanged between Iran and US in the first quarter of 2022.

The US import of non-oil products from Iran in the first quarter of 2023 decreased 95 percent, amounting to $0.2 million.

Statistics showed that the United States had imported $4.7 million worth of non-oil products from  January to March 2022.

The value of trade exchange between Iran and the US is negligible compared to the total trade exchanges of the two countries with the world.
