It said in its latest report that China’s trade with Iran from January to April 2023 reached $5.230 billion, showing a four percent growth compared to the same period last year.
China’s export of products to Iran in this period registered a 46 percent growth compared to a year earlier.
The Customs Office put the value of trade exchanges between the two countries from January to April 2022 at over $5.20 billion.
China’s import of products from Iran hit $1.520 billion from January to April 2023, indicating a 39 percent decline compared to a year earlier.
China had imported $2.490 billion worth of products from Iran from January to April 2022, the report added.
Despite the 39 percent decline of China’s imports from Iran in the first four months of the current year, mainly related to the oil price slump, China's products exported to Iran in this period registered a 46 percent growth and reached $3.710 billion.
According to the report, the People’s Republic of China had exported $2.530 billion worth of products to Iran from January to April 2022.
