Ehsan Hajsafi Earns Double with AEK Athens


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – AEK Athens achieved a monumental milestone by securing its first domestic double in over four decades with a 2-0 victory over PAOK Thessaloniki in the Greek Cup final Wednesday night.

Iranian left back Ehsan Hajsafi played a key role in the important win at the Panthessaliko Stadium.

AEK’s Lararos Rota was sent off just six minutes into the match but Cameroonian Harold Moukoudi found the back of the net in the 27th minute.

Paolo Fernandes also scored the second goal in the injury time.

AEK Athens had won the 2022-2023 Greek Super League title after defeating NFC Volos 4-0 on May 14.
