Iran to Participate in China Int’l Import Expo


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Republic of Iran will take part in China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is a trade fair held in Shanghai, China in autumn annually since 2018.

 It is the world’s first import-themed national-level expo.

In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Iran Chang Hua held at the venue of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) on Saturday, caretaker of TPO and Deputy Trade Minister Mehdi Zeyghami said that Iranian companies will participate in the CIIE.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a host of issues, including planning and consulting for the active presence of Iranian firms in the exhibition, accelerating the issuance of trade visas for Iranian businesspersons to visit the exhibition, welcoming Chinese trade and economic delegations to visit the exhibitions held in Iran as well as promoting trade relations between the two countries.

Emphasizing the trade and economic ties with Iran according to the document of joint cooperation, the Chinese envoy revealed the Chinese president's order on making plans to materialize the document's objectives.   

The China International Import Expo will be held on November 5-10, 2023.
