2023 World U-20 Water Polo Championships: Iran Victorious over Peru
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Peru 12-6 in Group H of the 2023 World Aquatics Men’s U-20 Water Polo Championships on Tuesday.
Iran, who had defeated Argentina 15-13 in its opening match and lost to Australia 17-3 in its following match, is scheduled to play Brazil on Wednesday.
Each team plays at least six games throughout the tournament.
The round-robin Championships are contested by 20 nations, including the world’s heavy hitting water polo nations Serbia, Spain, Hungary and the US.
The championship started on June 10 in Bucharest/Otopeni, Romania and will finish on June 17.
