In this period, Iran’s export of goods and commodities to India registered a six percent hike, the ministry said.
This is while the value of trade exchanges between the two countries from January to April 2023 witnessed a 19 percent decline compared to the same period of last year.
The latest statistics released by the India Ministry of Industry and Commerce show that the total value of India’s trade exchange with Iran from January to April 2023 reached $702 million.
The statistics put the value of trade exchanges between Iran and India from January to April 2022 at over $873 million.
According to this report, the reduced value of trade exchanges between the two countries is the result of a considerable decline in exports from India to Iran, which were 29 percent lower compared to last year’s corresponding period.
Rice, fresh fruits and tea were among the main products exported from India to Iran in this period while India imported oil products, raw materials for the production of paint, and different types of agricultural crops from Iran.
