Spanish Coach Lopez Caro No Longer Among Esteghlal’s Candidates

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former Real Madrid head coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro, who had travelled to Tehran to negotiate with Iranian top-flight club Esteghlal, did not reach an agreement with the team.

Sports

The 60-year-old coach visited the club's infrastructure during his stay in Tehran and refused to work in the club.

Iranian coaches Javad Nekounam and Mohammad Rabiei are the final candidates to lead the team.

Esteghlal is without a coach after Portuguese coach Ricardo Sa Pinto left it last week to take charge of Cypriot team APOEL.
