Mehdi Taremi Named 2023 CAFA Nations Cup MVP

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team forward Mehdi Taremi was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2023 CAFA Nations Cup.

Sports

Iran defeated Uzbekistan 1-0 thanks to Sardar Azmoun’s second half goal in Tashkent on Tuesday.

Taremi scored six goals in the tournament and became the CAFA’s top goalscorer.

He was also named the tournament’s MVP.

Oman's Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini was named CAFA's best goalkeeper.
