TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to Vietnam in straight sets (25-10, 25-9, 25-18) in the 2023 AVC Challenge Cup for Women.
Captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy delivered 12 points in Vietnam’s sweep of Iran in East Java’s Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik Gymnasium.
Iran will look to win against Uzbekistan on Thursday for a better stake in the rankings.
Vietnam will meet Chinese Taipei to dispute the top position in Pool F.
The 2023 Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup is the fourth edition of the Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup, an annual international volleyball tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with the Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI) hosting the event.
The tournament began on June 18 in Gresik, Indonesia and will run till June 25.
