Syrian Air Defenses Respond to Israeli Airstrike in Homs Province (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israel reportedly carried out two air strikes in Syria, with one targeting the Al-Dar Al-Kabira area in the northern countryside of Homs, and the other in the south of the city of Homs, according to multiple sources.

Witnesses observed black smoke rising from the targeted location.

A correspondent from "Syrian News" confirmed to RT that Syrian air defenses were confronting Israeli aggression in the central region, with most of the missiles being intercepted.

The official Syrian news agency, SANA, also reported that Syrian air defenses were engaging hostile targets in the airspace of Homs countryside, emphasizing that most of the incoming missiles were successfully intercepted.

Additionally, SANA stated that the sounds heard in the countryside of Tartous were a result of the air defenses' response to the Israeli aggression in Homs.

This marks the fifteenth Israeli attack on Syria in 2023, following the bombing of the southwestern countryside of Damascus two weeks ago.
