Iran’s Pourya Hossein Khanzadeh collected 17 points and Piotr Sliwka from Poland earned 14 points.

Iran, who had defeated Thailand 3-1, Tunisia 3-2 and Bahrain 3-0 in Pool A, will meet Thailand in Pool E on Wednesday.

The winners and runners-up of pools E and F will progress to the semifinals and eventually determine the medalists.
