Iran Defeats Japan at 2023 Asian U-16 Volleyball C’ship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Japan 3-2 (22-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-22, 15-10) on Saturday in the first edition of the Asian Men’s U-16 Volleyball Championship.
The competition is being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from July 22 to 29 and serves as the Asian qualification tournament to secure the top three teams in the next year’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-17 World Championship.
Iran is in Pool C along with China, Saudi Arabia and Japan.
Iran is scheduled to meet China on Sunday.
