Iran, Tajikistan Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Trade Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ambassador of Tajikistan Nizamuddin Zohidi held talks with Chairman of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Hossein Selahvarzi in Tehran on development of bilateral trade ties.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views regarding boosting mutual ties in trade and economic fields, according to the Press Division of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Attracting Iranian companies and investors for the implementation of economic projects in Tajikistan and the active participation of Iranian economic activists at exhibitions in Tajikistan were among other issues discussed by the two officials, Fars news agency reported. 

On Sunday, the Tajik envoy to Tehran held talks with Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Mehdi Zeyghami.

In this meeting, the envoy said that his country is keen to expand trade and economic relations with Iran.

Boosting trade exchanges with other countries is the main program adopted by the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, Zeyghami emphasized.
