In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tarik talked about the progress in the implementation of the cooperation agreements signed during their reciprocal visits to Muscat and Tehran.

The two leaders also highlighted Iran and Oman’s determination to enhance relations between the two states and promote their cooperation.

They also discussed plans for regional and international cooperation between Iran and Oman.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said paid an official visit to Iran in late May.

During the trip, the two countries signed four documents to promote cooperation in various fields.

According to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, the trade exchanges between Iran and Oman have more than doubled since Raisi paid a visit to Muscat in May 2022, when 12 cooperation documents were signed.
