According to the Sky Sport, Roma is close to Azmoun after withdrawing from talks for Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata.
The Iranian international forward had been linked with Roma in the summer of 2021 at Mourinho’s request.
Since then, Azmoun had an underwhelming spell at Bayer Leverkusen and could now join Roma on loan.
Negotiations are on-going and the deal is expected to be closed within the next few hours.
