Azmoun, 28, has joined the Giallorossi from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen until June 30, 2024.
As part of the agreement, the club has the option to make the transfer permanent, romapress.net reported.
Azmoun has previously played for Rubin Kazan, Rostov, Zenit, and, most recently, Bayer Leverkusen.
In 316 club appearances, he scored 115 goals and provided 48 assists. He also has 45 goals and 9 assists in 71 matches with the national team.
He has four Russian Premier League titles, one Russian Cup, and two Russian Super Cups to his name. Azmoun was also named Russian League top goal scorer for the 2019-20 season, and was named Russia’s footballer of the year in 2021.
