Iran exported $3.615 billion worth of non-oil goods to the ECO member states from March 21 to July 22, registering a 4.52 percent hike in value compared to the same period last year, Director General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) for International Cooperation Office Omid Golzari stated.
In the 4-month period, Iran exported 8.161 million tons of non-oil commodities to ECO member states, indicating a 31.24 percent increase in weight compared to the last year’s corresponding period, he added.
Golzari also pointed to the products imported to Iran, saying 1.394 million tons of goods, valued at $2.445 billion, were imported from the ECO members in the 4-month period, showing a 0.83 and 7.9 percent decline in value and weight respectively compared to the same period last year.
Among the ECO member states, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were Iran’s major importers of goods from March 21 to July 22, he continued.
In the meantime, Iran imported products mainly from Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, the IRICA official added.
