Resistance Wielding Power, US Impotent, Iran’s FM Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Highlighting the US’ inability to maintain its hegemony, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said the resistance front has become so powerful that it can vigorously carry out its plans.
Heading a political delegation, the Iranian foreign minister participated in a joint meeting with the general secretaries and leaders of various Palestinian groups during a visit to Lebanon’s capital Beirut.
“The international system is undergoing fundamental changes and we are witnessing new actors in the international arena. The US is trying to maintain its hegemony, but the region and the world understand very well that America cannot exercise its hegemony, and on the contrary, the resistance is powerful and can achieve its will powerfully,” Amirabdollahian said at the meeting.
Referring to the continued support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the resistance and the Palestinian people, the Iranian foreign minister added, “Today the position of the resistance in the region cannot be ignored, and the resistance, as a basic and main player in the region and in Palestine, is being noticed by the West.”
He emphasized that today the Zionist regime feels that it is losing on the battlefield, so it is talking about the assassination of Palestinian resistance leaders.
Emphasizing the importance of the unity of action of the resistance groups in defending Palestine and standing against the usurping Zionist regime, Amirabdollahian said the unity of action of the various Palestinian groups has increased the strength of the resistance and there is no doubt that the resistance has the final say in any issue.
The foreign minister emphasized that Iran continues to strongly support the Palestinian nation and resistance groups, adding, "We do not stand on ceremony with any side on the Palestinian issue, and Iranian officials always proudly declare their support for the Palestinian nation’s resistance and the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the establishment of a united Palestinian state on all historical Palestine with the Noble Quds as its capital.”
The Iranian foreign minister also referred to the continuous emphasis of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei that actions should always be in the direction of supporting the resistance.
“Supporting the resistance is the essence of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Today the resistance is in its best condition, and we are confident that with the unity of the Palestinian groups and the increasing resistance and standing of the Palestinian nation, we will witness the complete defeat of the Zionist enemy and the formation of a united Palestinian state with the Noble Quds as its capital,” he added, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
At the beginning of the meeting, a number of Palestinian leaders and figures thanked Iran for its continued and effective support of the resistance of the Palestinian people in the path of standing and resisting for the liberation of Palestine from the occupation of the usurping Zionist regime.
They also expressed their satisfaction with the increase in dynamism, progress and authority of the foreign diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed their views on the Palestinian issue.
The Palestinian figures referred to the Zionist regime's indiscriminate enmity towards all Palestinians and the regime's attempts to destroy the Palestinian identity, saying, “The will of the Palestinian people and resistance is stronger today than ever, and the Palestinian people will not retreat an iota from their rights and will never surrender to the Zionist enemy.”
