Speaking at the Working Group of Qazvin Non-Oil Exports Promotion on Sunday, Majid Barzegar, the deputy head of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Iran’s Qazvin province, stated that 357,000 tons of non-oil commodities, worth $222 million, were exported overseas.
The provincial export of non-oil goods has registered a 22 percent decline compared to the same period last year, he said, adding that Qazvin province accounted for one percent of Iran’s total exports share from March 21 to August 22, 2023.
In this period, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan were the three main export target markets of Qazvin province, Barzegar continued.
While Iraq was the province’s main export partner in this period, the volume of products exported from Qazvin province to Iraq registered a significant decline in weight and value compared to last year’s corresponding period, the official added.
