Iran exported $635 million worth of non-oil products to Oman from March 21 to September 22, 2023, showing a 16 percent hike in value compared to the same period of last year, Mehrdad Fallah Orimi said.
He went on to say that Oman is ranked eighth among Iran’s export target markets, sixth among neighboring countries and second among Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) states.
The two countries enjoy high potential and capacities to enhance bilateral trade, Orimi emphasized.
He added that Iran exported 386,000 tons of goods, valued at $129 million, to Oman in the Iranian month of Shahrivar this year (August 22 to September 22), registering a 42 percent growth compared to a month earlier.
Also, the trade exchanges between Iran and Oman from March 21 to September 22, 2023 recorded a 23 percent growth compared to last year’s corresponding period, the envoy stated.
Orimi emphasized the need for using the opportunities created in order to promote exports to Oman and presence in third markets via the Arab country.
