Speaking to reporters Sunday on the sidelines of the First Conference on Safety in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industries, Deputy Oil Minister Morteza Shahmirzaei stated that the company has taken giant strides in the current year to increase the production volume of petrochemicals.

He put the petrochemicals produced by the company in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to September 22, 2023) at more than 35 million tons.

Shahmirzaei emphasized the need for the establishment of a Safety Management System in all petrochemical complexes and pointed out that the launch of this system will be notified by the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Department of the Oil Ministry.
