Official Emphasizes Using Foreign Platforms to Boost Exports

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foreign platforms should be used to boost exports, the head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) said, adding that the ground has been set to connect domestic platforms to foreign ones.

Iranian-made products can be easily sold to target markets abroad using foreign platforms, Mehdi Zeyghami stated.

Speaking at a conference of the National Day of E-Commerce on Monday, the deputy industry minister pointed out that his organization managed to ink agreements with a number of foreign platforms including JD, WeChat, TikTok and YuJa in 2022.

He pointed to an exhibition held last month and said that the TPOI could register and present products such as saffron and rosewater on these foreign platforms.

This is a good opportunity created for marketing Iranian products in international markets using foreign platforms, he said.

The Trade Promotion Organization of Iran has opened a gateway for boosting trade and economic activities with African, Southeast Asian and Latin American countries, he went on to say.
