Iran’s Women’s Basketball Suffers Second Loss at 2022 Asian Para Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s wheelchair basketball team was defeated against Thailand 47-39 in the 2022 Asian Para Games on Friday.
Iran had lost to Japan 84-16 in its first match on Thursday.
Team Melli Banovan will play Laos on Saturday.
The men’s team, who defeated Afghanistan 91-33 in Group A, is scheduled to play China on Saturday.
Iran’s men’s team is defending champion.
Wheelchair basketball is one of the events at the 2022 Asian Para Games, which takes place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, from Oct. 19 to 27.
Hangzhou 2022 will take place from October 22 to 28. An estimated 3,000 athletes will compete across 22 sports.
