Iran Exports $120 Million of Cars in 6 Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran exported $120 million of cars and vehicles in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to September 22).

In this period, Iran exported about $1 billion of polymer products and approx. $200 million of home appliances respectively.

Iran exported 67.744 million tons of non-oil exports including petrochemical, oil, mining and mineral industries' products, and industrial and agricultural products, valued at $24.144 billion, from March 21 to September 22, 2023, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reported.

Iran’s non-oil exports in volume in this period registered a 29 percent growth compared to the same period last year, IRICA added.

According to the data released by the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), the industrial and agricultural sectors accounted for 15 and 6 percent of the country’s total non-oil exports respectively.

In this period, petrochemicals and gas condensates accounted for 52 percent of the total non-oil exports of the country in terms of value, IRICA added.
