Foreign Tourists’ Visits to Iran Up 26% in 7 Months: WTO

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The World Tourism Organization on Monday announced a 26 percent growth in the arrival of foreign tourists to Iran in the first seven months of 2023.

In this period, about three million foreign tourists visited Iran, which is home to sceneries with breathtaking views.

According to the statistics of the international body, the arrival of foreign tourists to Iran from January to July 2023 registered a 26 percent growth compared to last year’s corresponding period.

The organization put the number of foreign tourists in the world from January to July 2023 at 700 million, registering a 43 percent growth compared to the same period last year.

Over 489 million foreign tourists had visited various parts of the world from January to July 2022.

According to this report, July was the most crowded month in the world’s tourism industry with 145 million foreign tourists traveling and visiting various parts of the world.
