Israeli Overnight Raids Lead to Hundreds of Arrests, Deaths in West Bank
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – In a series of overnight raids, Israeli forces have arrested approximately 1,200 Palestinians in the West Bank, with at least 59 arrests in the city of Hebron (Al-Khalil).
At least 120 Palestinians were arrested across the West Bank overnight, among which were 40 workers from the Gaza Strip. These arrests are part of the ongoing Israeli violence that has claimed the lives of over 5,000 in Gaza.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that Israeli forces carried out the raids, which resulted in hundreds of arrests and two fatalities in the Jalazone refugee camp near Ramallah.
According to residents, Israeli forces conducted widespread arrests in the camp, leading to clashes with local residents who threw stones in response.
Approximately 20 individuals were arrested in the camp, as confirmed by the Health Ministry. Israeli forces have subsequently retreated to the camp's outskirts, though the Israeli army has yet to issue an official statement regarding these incidents.
These overnight incursions have become an almost nightly occurrence in the occupied West Bank and East Al-Quds. Between midnight and 5 am, Israeli soldiers, heavily armed and often masked, conduct forced entries into Palestinian homes.
These raids involve groups of 10 to over 100 soldiers who search, interrogate, beat, photograph, and sometimes destroy homes.
These violent nighttime incursions leave Palestinian families, particularly children, traumatized. Many have been killed or injured during these military operations.
