Eight Soldiers Killed in Israeli Airstrike in Southwest Syria

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Eight Syrian soldiers were killed and seven more wounded in an Israeli airstrike in southwest Syria.

According to Syria's state news agency (SANA), this incident occurred due to Israel's "aerial aggression" targeting several military positions in proximity to the southwestern city of Deraa. Additionally, the attack resulted in substantial material damage.

SANA's report specified that the assault transpired at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, as per Syrian local time (2245 GMT on Tuesday).

The Israeli regime's military claimed that the attack on the Syrian army infrastructure during the early hours of Wednesday was in response to rocket launches from Syria toward occupied Palestine.
