The two ministers are accompanying Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber in the 22nd Meeting of Council of Heads of Government of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

In the meetings, the Kyrgyz officials asked the Iranian Oil Ministry to help the Central Asian country modernize, overhaul, and renovate one of its refineries.

They also called on Iran to meet Kyrgyzstan’s demands for oil products, particularly gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and kerosene, and provide bitumen for its road construction projects.

In turn, Iran’s oil minister asked the Kyrgyz side to declare the details of the oil products needed to initiate cooperation in the energy industry.

The 22nd Meeting of Council of Heads of the SCO kicked off in Bishkek on Thursday.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, Iran’s first vice president has held talks with top officials from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Pakistan about various issues on the sidelines of the conference.
