Yemeni Forces Launch 'Large Number' of Missiles towards Israel: Report

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the country has launched a significant number of ballistic missiles and drones towards southern Eilat in the Israeli-occupied territories.

He also pledged to continue such attacks until the Israeli aggression in Gaza Strip stops.

"The Yemeni Armed Forces... confirm that they will continue to carry out qualitative strikes with missiles and drones until the Israeli aggression stops," stated Brigadier General Saree.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister of Yemen's National Salvation Government Abdelaziz bin Habtour told the AFP news agency that the drones used in the attack belong to Yemen. He echoed the commitment to continue these missile and drone strikes until Israeli aggression ends.

The missile launch prompted air raid sirens in the Red Sea tourist resort of Eilat, leading settlers to seek shelter. The Israeli regime's army claimed that the missile was intercepted by the "Arrow" long-range defense system. In response to the detection of the missile, the Israeli air force deployed fighter jets.

This incident follows the launch of drones by Yemen in retaliation for Israel's ongoing war against Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Israel has expanded its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip in recent days, resulting in a heightened number of civilian casualties.

Gaza officials have reported that more than 8,525 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's air attacks during the past three weeks.
