Al-Aqsa Storm Operation 100 Percent Palestinian, Says Hezbollah Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The secretary general of the Hezbollah Resistance Movement Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, made a significant declaration during his most anticipated Friday speech on Israel’s war on Gaza, emphasizing the exclusively Palestinian nature of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation.

In his first address since the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip began on October 7, Nasrallah asserted that the "Operation of the Al-Aqsa Storm" was unequivocally and entirely Palestinian.

Nasrallah delivered this message during his televised speech in which he extended condolences to the martyrs of the resistance and addressed various aspects of the ongoing conflict.

"The battle of the Al-Aqsa Storm has expanded on multiple fronts, and it was 100% Palestinian," Nasrallah declared.

He underlined the significance of this operation, emphasizing that it was orchestrated and carried out by Palestinians, from its inception to its execution.

Nasrallah said that the Lebanese resistance movement entered the battle against Israel on October 8, the day after Palestinian resistance movements launched its surprise attack against Israeli occupation forces, adding that 57 Hezbollah fighters have been martyred so far.

Nasrallah also took the opportunity to express his condolences and congratulations to the families of Lebanese and Palestinian martyrs. He acknowledged the significant role played by these brave individuals, noting that their sacrifice had resulted in salvation and victory, a source of pride for their families and their respective nations.

Nasrallah acknowledged the limitations of language and words in truly encapsulating the greatness of the Palestinian people and their resilience.

He went on to highlight the unwavering commitment of the Palestinian population, particularly in Gaza, who have endured immense suffering, including the destruction of their homes and the sacrifice of their children, in their unwavering pursuit of justice for Palestine.

“Absolute secrecy is what ensured the success of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7,” added the chief of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement.

“We were not bothered by Hamas’s concealment of the October 7 attack plan,” he stated.

“Conditions in Palestine in recent years have been extremely harsh, especially with this extremist, foolish, stupid, and savage [Israeli] regime,” he said.

He blamed the United States for the aggression the Israeli regime is perpetrating against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

He expressed his gratitude to Yemen for their involvement in the Gaza conflict and extended his regards to all those who have supported the Palestinian cause, especially the Yemeni people who joined in this war.

“We must salute the… strong and brave Iraqi and Yemeni hands who are now involved in this holy war,” he noted. “There had to be a major event that would shake the usurping entity and its supporters in Washington and London and this is when the blessed operation of the October 7 took place.”

In his speech, Nasrallah emphasized the autonomy of the Palestinian resistance movements, emphasizing that these groups make their own decisions without external pressure or interference.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently supported these resistance groups, and their leadership has been unwavering in its commitment, But it has never exerted any pressure or recommendations on them, and did not ask anything of their leaders."

Nasrallah also addressed the international and regional impact of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, describing its seismic political, military, and security ramifications in the occupied territories.

He indicated that the full consequences of this operation would become even clearer in the near and distant future, and Israel would be unable to diminish its effects in the coming weeks.

“The Al-Aqsa Storm operation led to an earthquake in [Israel],” Hezbollah leader said. “It has strategic and existential repercussions and will leave its effects on the present and future of [Israel].”

The Hezbollah leader pointed out that the operation had prompted a hurried deployment of American generals to enter the conflict in an effort to avert an impending defeat. Despite their extensive support and efforts, they have thus far been unsuccessful in altering the course of the conflict.

“The intervention also underscored the vulnerabilities of the Zionist regime, which required American warships to bolster its position,” he said. Nasrallah questioned the proclaimed strength of the Israeli army, given the current circumstances.

He further delved into the Israeli response to the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, highlighting that the operation was timed to catch the enemy off guard. Nasrallah noted that it took place on a Saturday, a day off for many [Israelis], and that a number of Zionists were intoxicated at the time, leaving them bewildered and confused.

Nasrallah underscored the resilient and heroic nature of the Palestinian resistance, noting that despite Israel's ongoing military onslaught, they have not achieved any significant military success. This has prompted Israel to initiate a ground operation, similar to their actions in Lebanon in 2006, and currently in Gaza.

Nasrallah stressed that Israelis are well aware of the formidable strength of the Palestinian resistance, as "The courage and heroism of the Palestinian resistance frighten the enemy."

Nasrallah said that the Zionist regime, the United States, and their allies are displaying foolishness and brutality in Palestine and Gaza, noting that innocent people, including women and children, are being killed, with most of the casualties being non-combatants.

While the whole world is watching “They are targeting places like mosques, hospitals, and schools, leaving no place untouched as they cause extensive destruction in Gaza,” Nasrallah said as he questioned whether such murderous actions necessitate the involvement of the region's most powerful air force.
