Iranians to Hold Rallies in Support of Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The people of Iran will hold nationwide rallies on Saturday to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian children in Gaza and vent their anger at the Zionist regime, which has been pounding the besieged enclave relentlessly since October 7.

The demonstrations in support of the children of Gaza will kick off across Iran at 3 pm local time.

The keynote speaker at the rallies in Tehran, which will be held at Enqelab (Revolution) Square, will be Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami.

At least 12,000 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, when Hamas launched a surprise operation against the Zionist regime.

At least 26 Palestinians, mostly children, were killed in an Israeli bombardment of Khan Younis city in south Gaza on Friday alone.

Al-Shifa Hospital administrators say 40 patients, including four premature babies, have died since November 11 due to power outages.

The health system has collapsed in Gaza, just one element of a wider humanitarian crisis amid fears of disease and starvation.
