Iran Starts Exporting 30,000 Tons of Greenhouse Pepper to Asian, European States

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official at the Agricultural Organization in Iran’s southern province of Kerman said exporting various species of greenhouse bell peppers to Asian and European countries has started.

More than 95 percent of the produced greenhouse bell peppers are exported to the Russian Federation, Armenia, Georgia, Iraq, the Persian Gulf littoral states and other countries, the official noted.

Kerman province is ranked first in terms of production of greenhouse products including various green cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, tomatoes and strawberries, Payman Namvar stated.

Given the unique climatic situation and fertile land areas in the south of the province, the greenhouse products in this part of the country have been highly welcomed among both domestic and foreign consumers, he emphasized.
