IPL: Esteghlal Held by Foolad
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foolad and Esteghlal football teams shared the spoils in a goalless draw at the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
In the match held in Ahvaz’s Foolad Arena, Esteghlal, IPL leader, dominated the match and created several goalscoring chances but its strikers failed to capitalize on their opportunities.
Earlier in the day, Persepolis earned a 1-0 hard-fought win over Havadar and Sepahan defeated Mes 4-1 in Isfahan. Nassaji also defeated struggling Esteghlal Khuzestan 1-0.
Esteghlal remained top with 24 points, three points ahead of Sepahan.
