Azeri Cadets Can Enroll in PhD Courses in Iran: Commander


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The president of Iran’s Supreme National Defense University expressed the military academy’s readiness to accept PhD students from the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Supreme National Defense University of Iran is prepared to admit Azeri students in PhD courses as of the next academic year, Brigadier General Esmaeil Ahmadi Moqaddam said in a meeting with the vice president of the National Defense University of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held in Tehran on Sunday.

Heading a three-strong delegation, Azerbaijan Republic’s Major General Arif Hasanov has traveled to Iran to weigh plans to promote military cooperation and strengthen scientific diplomacy between Baku and Tehran.

The Azeri general, for his part, said the National Defense University of the Republic of Azerbaijan is prepared to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Iranian side, launch academic cooperation programs, and exchange delegations and students.
