Three European Coaches Nominated to Lead Persepolis

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Three European coaches have been shortlisted to take charge of Iran’s Persepolis football team.

The Iranian club has negotiated with Italian coach Gianni De Biasi and Portuguese Jose Vitor dos Santos Peseiro as well as Bosnian-born Swiss professional football coach Vladimir Petkovic.

De Biasi has most recently coached the Azerbaijan football team. He was head coach of Torino, Levante, Brescia, Udinese and Albania national football teams.

Peseiro is the current coach of the Nigeria national football team. The 63-year-old coach has previously coached his homeland clubs Nacional, Porto, Braga and Venezuela national football teams.

Petkovic was most recently the head coach of French side Bordeaux, having previously managed the Switzerland national team, a string of Swiss clubs, Turkish club Samsunspor, and Italian club Lazio.
