Iran Exports $4 Billion Technical-Engineering Services to Iraq in 5 Years: TPOI


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The director general of the West Asia Department of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) said Iran’s exports of technical and engineering services to Iraq has reached $4 billion.

Iran’s export of technical and engineering services to the Iraqi market has significantly increased since 2012, Rabi Havi stated.

He added that Iran has exported about $4 billion worth of technical and engineering services to Iraq in five years, from 2012 to 2017.

Despite some problems facing Iranian technical and engineering services companies in Iraq, about 88 projects, valued at $4 billion, have been put into operation by 41 companies in this country, the official went on to say.

Fortunately, very important projects have still been implemented in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and also the central government of Iraq in the fields of construction of dams, roads, tunnels, factories, residential complexes, power plants, etc.

Rabihavi also said that Iran’s export of non-oil products to this Arab country is on an upward trajectory, YJC reported.

He put the annual export value of gas and non-oil goods to neighboring Iraq at about $10 billion and added that Iran’s technical and engineering services exported to Iraq have the highest quality compared to the other countries.
