Iran Exports Dates to over 70 Countries: Official


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official at the Iran Rural Cooperatives Organization said Iran exports fresh dates to more than 70 countries in the world.

Iran exported $760.373 million of non-oil products to Russia in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023, to January 22, 2024), the director general of the Iran Rural Cooperatives Organization for Foreign Trade Promotion Affairs noted.

Rouhollah Latifi said more than 70 countries in the world purchased different types of fresh Iranian dates in this period.

Agricultural products account for about 11 percent of the country’s export share, the official added, Mehr news agency reported.

Earlier, the chairman of the Iranian National Date Association said Iran is the third-largest producer of fresh dates in the world.
