IPL Leader Esteghlal Held by Malavan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team was held to a 1-1 draw by Malavan in 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday.
Mohammad Reza Soleymani scored for the host in the 65th minute and Jaloliddin Masharipov leveled the score for Esteghlal.
In Abadan, Foolad defeated Sanat Naft 2-0, and Havadar beat Shams Azar 2-1 in Tehran.
Esteghlal remains top with 36 points, three points above Persepolis. Sepahan is third with 31 points with two games in hand.
