Esteghlal Victorious over Sepahan: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team earned a vital win over Sepahan in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Tuesday.
Esteghlal captain Rouzbeh Cheshmi scored a long-range goal in the electrifying win in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Foolad and Malavan shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in Ahvaz and Gol Gohar defeated struggling Malavan 3-0 in Sirjan.
Persepolis will play Zob Ahan in Isfahan on Wednesday, Tractor play Esteghlal Khuzestan, Shams Azar meet Mes in Qazvin, Aluminum face Havadar and Paykan host Sanat Naft.
Esteghlal leads the table with 39 points, six points ahead of Persepolis who has one game in hand.
