Iran’s Non-Oil Trade Balance Hits -$16.8 bln in One Year: IRICA

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s trade balance with the inclusion of export of crude oil, technical and engineering services and electricity exceeded $20.6 billion while the country’s non-oil trade balance reached about -$16.8 billion in the previous Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023 to March 19, 2024).

According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the country’s exports with the exclusion of exports of electricity, oil, technical and engineering services and luggage trade hit $49.4 billion, showing an 8.9 percent decline compared to a year earlier.  

Also, the country’s total export with the inclusion of oil, electricity, and luggage trade reached $86.9 billion in 12 months of the previous Iranian calendar year, IRICA added.

About 136.4 million tons of non-oil products were exported from the country in the previous Iranian calendar year, showing a 9.8 percent growth compared to a year before, Mehr news agency reported.

In the meantime, the country’s total imports with the inclusion of importing $1.9 billion of standard gold ingot reached $66.3 billion from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024, IRICA said, adding that 39 million tons of goods were imported into the country, registering a 4.4 percent hike compared to a year earlier.
