Iran’s Mazandaran Exports over $28 Million of Citrus Fruits to 16 Countries

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The observer of the customs offices of Iran’s Mazandaran province said more than $28 million of citrus fruits were exported from the customs offices of this northern province to 16 countries in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2024).

Amir Jamshidi said more than 78,000 tons of fresh citrus fruits were exported from the customs offices of Mazandaran province to 16 countries between March 21, 2023, and March 19, 2024.

He pointed to a 100% growth in the export of citrus fruits from this northern province and noted that 78,285 tons of citrus fruits were exported from the customs offices of Noshahr, Amirabad, Amol and Sari in this province, IRIB news reported.

Jamshidi put the value of the citrus fruits exported from the customs offices of Mazandaran province at over $28.459 million, registering more than 100 percent growth compared to a year earlier.

They were exported to countries like Russia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, he added.
