Several Arrested in Connection with Terrorist Attacks in SE Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force said it has captured a number of people involved in two fatal terrorist attacks on the bases of Iranian security forces in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.

The IRGC Ground Force Quds Base in Sistan and Balouchestan province said in a statement that its servicemen have captured the suspects in a joint operation with the intelligence forces of the province on Saturday morning.

The arrestees are known as “supportive and logistical elements” that played a pivotal role in two attacks that the notorious Jaish al-Adl (known in Iran as Jaish al-Dhulm) terrorist group carried out on the Rask County's police headquarters in Sistan and Balouchestan on December 15, 2023, and also against an IRGC base in Rask on April 4.

The terrorists were hiding inside the ‘Anwar al-Haramain’ religious school in the Pashamag village, near Rask, when they were captured by the IRGC forces.

The so-called Jaish al-Adl, a terror outfit that was formed in 2012, has conducted several attacks on the Iranian soil in recent years.
