Tehran Welcomes Book Enthusiasts with 35th Edition of International Book Fair


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 35th iteration of the Tehran International Book Fair is underway here in the Iranian capital, heralding a literary celebration for enthusiasts worldwide.

Over 2600 publishers have congregated for this ten-day event, offering a diverse array of literary treasures.

Senior Iranian officials graced the opening ceremony, emphasizing the significance of this cultural extravaganza. President Ebrahim Raisi, among others, toured the various sections of the fair on its fourth day.

This year's fair boasts a significant international presence, with approximately 100 foreign publishers from 25 countries showcasing over 50,000 books spanning various genres and themes, catering to readers of all ages and preferences.

Drawing in a massive crowd, the mega-event sees over 400,000 visitors daily, underscoring the enduring appeal of literature in Iranian society and beyond.
