10-Year-Old Girl Lone Survivor in Gaza Camp As Israeli Strikes Kill 20

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli strikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp have resulted in the deaths of 20 Palestinians, while a 10-year-old girl fights for survival, unaware of the loss of her family in the devastating attack.

The Al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza is now the scene of heart-wrenching anguish as medical staff tend to the young girl, who miraculously survived the attack on her family home. She cries out for her mother, unaware that she, along with all her family members, perished in the strike.

The brutality of the assault extends beyond Nuseirat, with additional strikes reported in the northern Strip. An evacuation center and a residential building were targeted, resulting in the deaths of three and six Palestinians, respectively.

The death toll climbs steadily, with more than 60 Palestinians killed since the previous day across northern Gaza. Israeli attacks show no signs of abating, striking both the north and south of the territory relentlessly.

Al Jazeera Arabic has confirmed the rising death toll, now at 20, with bodies being transported to Al-Aqsa Hospital in nearby Deir el-Balah. Earlier on Saturday, five others fell victim to an attack on the same camp.

The hospital struggles to cope with the influx of patients, operating at over triple its intended capacity. Tents are erected, offering refuge to those seeking safety amidst the chaos.

As casualties continue to pour in, desperation mounts within the central Gaza hospital. Israeli forces persist in their assaults across the Strip, launching raids on Rafah city, Sheikh Zayed, and Zeitoun neighborhoods, and engaging in clashes at the Jabalia refugee camp.

The recent violence follows a night of relentless bombings that claimed the lives of dozens of Palestinians in Gaza City and the Nuseirat refugee camp. Among the casualties, 28 were killed in an airstrike near Kamal Adwan hospital, with many more trapped beneath the rubble.

Since October 7, Israeli attacks on Gaza have left at least 35,386 dead and 79,366 wounded, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian crisis in the enclave.
