Iran’s Mokhtari Wins Bronze at 2024 World Para Athletics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Alireza Mokhtari claimed a bronze medal the 2024 World Para Athletics Championships on Sunday.

He finished in third place in the Men’s Shot Put F53 with a throw of 8.43 meters.

Giga Ochkhikidze of Georgia claimed the gold with 8.79 meters and the silver medal went to Moroccan Abdelillah Gani with 8.58 meters.

Held in East Asia for the first time and a crucial qualifier for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the Kobe 2024 Para Athletics World Championships attracted over 1,000 athletes from 100 countries and regions to compete in 168 events.
