Iran Sports Minister Sends Message of Condolence on Martyrdom of President
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Kioumars Hashemi sent a condolence message over the passing of President Ebrahim Raisi.
Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, and their companions lost their lives following a tragic chopper crash on Sunday.
The crash occurred as Raisi, 63, and AmirAbdollahian were returning from a ceremony for an opening of a dam on Iran’s border with Azerbaijan.
"I extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the nation of Iran. Ayatollah Raisi always worked tirelessly to solve the people’s problems.
“I wish God’s pleasure for the martyrs, peace and patience for the survivors, and solidarity and progress for the Iranian people. May God have mercy on their souls,” the sports minister said.
