Iran’s Motaghian Wins Silver at 2024 World Para Athletics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hashemiyeh Motaghian of Iran won a silver medal at the Women's Javelin Throw F56 Final on Tuesday.

She came second with a throw of 22.74 meters. The gold medal went to Brazilian thrower Raíssa Rocha Machado with 24.22 meters.

Chinese athlete Sitong Lin won the bronze medal with 22.68 meters.

Held in East Asia for the first time and a crucial qualifier for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the Kobe 2024 Para Athletics World Championships attracted over 1,000 athletes from 100 countries and regions to compete in 168 events.
