Illegal Israeli Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Over a dozen Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Wednesday, sparking renewed tensions at one of Islam’s holiest sites.
The Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound this morning, according to a video published on Telegram by a local media network and verified by Al Jazeera.
The footage shows Israeli police officers walking alongside the individuals who entered the compound.
Despite the sacred nature of the site, the storming of the compound is a regular occurrence.
Jewish law forbids Jews from entering any part of the site.
Since October 7, Israeli authorities have repeatedly barred Palestinians from entering the site for Friday prayers, forcing many to pray on the streets near the Old City.
In previous years, Israeli forces have also attacked Palestinian worshippers inside the mosque.
